Cruisair Beats the Others Cold |
Marvin has received the Cruisair Lifetime Achievement Award, and Annapolis Cruisair gets the Cruisair Outstanding Service Award every year at the factory school.
Cruisair Stowaway System
StowAway is a series of self-contained, directexpansion,
seawatercooled, reverse-cycle air conditioners designed for marine use.
There are two basic product groups in the StowAway 5 series. SX models
are used with the SMX 11 microprocessor control and includes the SMX
11
power/logic models. SH models are designed for use with rotary-type or
SMX controls. The low-profile self-contained unit is designed to be
installed
under a settee or berth, in a locker or cabinet, or any other out-of-the-way
location, with air ducted to a discharge-air grill which is normally
placed
high in the cabin. A return-air grill is situated low near the StowAway
unit.
The StowAway unit contains all air conditioning components, including the refrigerant compressor, condenser, evaporator, blower, receiver and accumulator, lint screen, wiring and other associated components, mounted on a low-profile chassis. Hold-down clamps and the condensate drain fitting are also included. The condensate drip pan is designed so that it encloses the entire drip line of the unit. The dependable reciprocating compressors are refrigerant cooled to provide maximum efficiency and life. Cruisair has designed the StowAway series with increased tubing size and limited restrictive elbows and bends in the refrigerant circuit, in conjunction with accumulators and receivers, providing improved compression ratios in both the cooling and heating modes. The highly efficient condenser contains rifled/spiral heat exchangers with very little pressure drop. The evaporator coil contains rifled tubing and lanced fins to increase heat exchange. The quiet, efficient squirrel-cage blowers can be rotated for discharge in any direction. The design and location of the transition ring minimizes restriction and allows full use of the coil. The StowAway unit is designed for easy installation and serviceability. All wiring hookups, starting components and charging ports are conveniently located on top of the unit. The units are precharged and tested at the factory, eliminating the need for field charge. In addition to the basic StowAway unit, the following components are required to complete the installation and are ordered separately: Seawater Cooling System, Air Distribution System, and Controls.
Onan and Kohler Power Systems Stable Power - Kohler's exclusive PowerBoost™ voltage regulator sets the standard for delivering steady, reliable power to sensitive electronics such as radar, televisions and on-board computers. Low Maintenance - Automatic shutdowns for everything from loss of coolant to low oil pressure protect against costly damage. And, brushless alternators combined with rugged, full-pressure lubricated engines make these generators virtually maintenance free. Easy To Service - Single-side access for routine fluid and maintenance checks makes these generators as practical as they are dependable. Quiet Operation - Attractive sound shields combine maximum silencing with superior ventilation. A cradle-mount system on select models helps reduce engine vibration. |
